Why are your kits so affordable?

We exist with the sole purpose of keeping the men and women of the Appalachian region employed. We cut, mill and sell the logs – there are no middle men involved.  We are a direct wholesaler.

What is your Model Home Program?

All you need to do is be the first to set the specified model in your state, send us pictures during and post construction of your home along with a testimonial on your experience with Grizzly Log Homes and enjoy THOUSANDS in SAVINGS!

What types of wood does Grizzly Log Homes offer?

Primarily Tulip Poplar but can also offer White Pine and Cedar.

What is the price difference between the types of wood?

What types of logs do you offer?

Our standard options are Square Rough Cut Logs, D-Logs, Drawknife Logs and Hand Hewn Logs.  But we have the capabilities to do nearly any style you prefer.

What sizes of logs do you offer?

Our standard sizes are 4”x8”, 6”x8” and 8”x8”

What is the R value of the wood you offer?

Tulip Poplar: 1.13 per inch of thickness

Pine: 1.25 per inch of thickness

Cedar: 1.4 per inch of thickness

I like your model but I would like to make changes, can this be done?

Yes! Every model of ours is 100% customizable.  We will put you in contact with our designers to make your ideas possible.

What is all included in your kits?

All of our kits include logs to build exterior walls, the adhesive sealants, materials to fasten the logs and your custom floor plans.  You also have the option to add many extras from our selection.  See what is available under each model.

Do your kits come with the doors and windows?

No, This actually saves you money and enables you to have control over which style is right for you and your family.  You are able to buy at your local wholesaler at a more affordable price than we can purchase a standard model and ship them to you.

What does the term Dry-In mean?

Our crews will build the exterior of your home to ensure it is weather tight on the inside. This includes building from the felt of the roof to the sub-floor along with the shell of the home. We will also include contractors’ grade doors and windows.

What does the term Turn-Key mean?

We do the work for you! From the inside-out, including plumbing, electrical work, interior walls, etc. All work is completed at your states code and utilizing contractors grade materials and fixtures.

Do you Dry-In and/or Turn-Key your kits?

We specialize in Drying-In log homes efficiently and the right way!  We do have the capabilities to Turn-Key your home for you, but on average you can save money by hiring a local subcontractor who specializes in a specific trade.

What does FROG mean?

Are your logs pre-cut and numbered?

No.  This actually makes it easier for you! You receive enough logs to construct your home, all of which are 16′ in length.  This will enable you to ensure all logs are cut to the correct length to fit perfectly, mitigating gabs between logs, doors and windows.

How are your logs dried?

All of our logs are Kiln dried, this helps to minimize settling and enables you to build your dream home much sooner.

Do you have any actual pictures of your logs homes?

We are asking for your help! Join our Model Home Program, send us pictures of your home as it is being constructed and when it’s completed and you will enjoy THOUSANDS in savings! The pictures we currently have are located throughout our website.
